Connery was bred by Jessica Mybeck, Colleen Schlesinger (Tylerthyme English Cockers), and Laura Haverstick (Eglesfeld English Cockers). Connery finished his championship in March, 2002, at 2 1/2 years old. In Jan, 2001, he won back to back majors from the Bred By class in Palm Springs, CA. One of the majors was under British breeder/judge Angela Hackett. In Aug, 2001, Connery won Reserve to the 5 point major at the ECSF of Greater Denver Specialty under Breeder/Judge Eugene Phoa (Wittersham ECS). Connery was breeder/owner/handled to all but his first point. After finishing his championship, he went to live with the Kauffman family and his Bernese Mt Dog buddy, Revel. They miss him dearly.
