Ryan was our first homebred champion of any breed. As a puppy, he had numerous Sweepstakes wins, including Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes at the Irish Setter Club of Canada National Specialty. He finished his championship in 1981 with Specialty wins along the way. His first time out as a special, he was Best of Breed at the International Kennel Club of Chicago over many top winning specials. Ryan was a beautiful dog, and a wonderful family pet. He was the last of our original group of Irish Setters, leaving us in 1990, at 13 years of age.
